Mr. Daniel N. Rios- Spanish/Golf
Dear Parents(s)/Guardian(s),Welcome to a wonderful year at El Paso High School. My name is Daniel Rios. I was born in Odessa,Tx. I recieved my Bachelor of Science/ minor in Spanish from Sul Ross State University in Alpine,Tx. As your child's Spanish teacher, I will be working together with you to ensure that your child has an exciting, positive learning experience this year. This letter is to acquaint you with resposibilities, expectations and guidelines for Spanish class.
It is the responsibility of the student to come prepared for class every day. That preparation includes daily supplies needed, as well as those requested by the teacher. It is important for your child to come to class organized and prepared. That will enable the student to be less stressed and more successful in their learning.
The supplies needed for Spanish will be pencil/pens, notebook paper and folder with pockets. These supplies need to be brought to class on daily basis.
These activities will account for your child's grades:
Class work
Homework/ Participation
Quizzes/Tests
Projects
Assignments must be completed by the due date. Late work will affect a full credit. It is the responsibility of the student to get their make-up work for excused absences.
Parents are responsible for checking on constant basis the student's academic progress. This can be achieved by entering the EPISD-PARENT PORTAL.
We hope to be in contact with you throughout the year as much as possible. The Positive learning environment for your child is a combination of school and home. My conference period is on Orange DAY, 3rd period, 12:40-2:10 pm.Please call (915)236-2500 if you have any questions or concerns, or would like to schedule an appointment.
